Join Karen Krebbs, who has studied bats for more than 35 years and is a WNP research grant recipient, for a fascinating discussion of the world’s old flying mammals. Learn how bats use echolocation, why they hibernate, what they eat, and why they are important to our ecosystems. She will share updates from her long-term research conducted in Chiricahua National Monument, Coronado National Monument, and Fort Bowie National Historic Site. Her book Bat Basics: How to Understand and Help These Amazing Flying Mammals will be available for purchase. Registration required. Space is limited to 60 registrants.
